I should have helped?

It was a humid day in July in New Delhi, India. It was around 3 p.m. that it started raining which was a respite from the scorching sun of the afternoon. I wished to sit in the balcony of my PG and have some chai-biscuit but I had no time to appreciate the rain. I was running late. I had my coaching at 4 p.m. and I had not yet taken bath. It isn't like taking bath was necessary but I could not go with my messy hair with Riya recently passing smiles at me. I quickly took a bath, packed my bag, and checked my phone for the time. It was 3:15. Also I saw a text from my friend, Darshan, that he had already left for the coaching. It was our legal studies class and a new teacher was going to take up the topic of constitutional laws.     The little rain did no good to the weather. Although the sun had gone, the weather had become incorrigibly humid. I was quite late and so I had to walk briskly to the metro station. The long queue at the metro station was an add-on to my delay. Why am I n

Craze for Shark Tank Season 2 no less!

The Shark Tank India season 2 is out and the viewers are really crazy about it. Social media is swarmed with memes and clips from the show with people loving the amazing business ideas and pitches, the expertise of the sharks, and the fun fight among the sharks to invest in an idea. The keen audience never fails to notice any facet of the show ranging from the eloquent dressing sense of the shark Namita Thapar or the crazy dialogue and style of the shark Aman Gupta or the classic way in which the shark Anupam Mittal talks. The audience loves the philanthropic side of the shark, Peyush Bansal, and the quickness with which the shark Vineeta Singh take decisions. Although, the absence of the shark Ashneer Grover is a major missing from season 2 which was quite anticipated after his controversial resignation from his own company. The audience loved him in season 1 for his straight talks with the pitchers and understanding of making large businesses. Ashneer's way of talking about busin

Caste Census in Bihar

Who is not aware of the caste-based politics in Bihar? Politics on caste is enshrined in the roots of Bihar and one cannot imagine an election without the candidates asking people to vote merely on the basis of their caste. The political parties use all sorts of statistics available to formulate different sorts of caste equations to win elections. Coalitions are formed on this very basis that which party brings which caste under its ambit. If the caste equation sets right or the majority castes support a party, its win is assured in the state of Bihar. However, caste-based politics is not just an affair in Bihar. Such politics is also very prevalent in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Haryana, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. Nevertheless, caste is one of the most important factors in Bihar. In Bihar, a leader is not a leader but a Yadav face, a Bhumiar face, a Muslim face, and so on. Time and again, political parties try to woo people of different castes just to gain votes. Nothing is d

The Gen Z bag

Studying in an extravagant coaching center in Connaught Place, Delhi may not have been very beneficial in giving desired output in my competitive examination but it proved to be an overall different and fun experience. I am someone who likes to observe things and traveling from a low-budget Pg in Laxmi Nagar to the posh business and tourist area every day gave me the chance to observe. Observation is not a one-day thing, but you do it over a period of time and it is when you notice stark differences in the character and habits of people from different backgrounds.  It was our first day of coaching and the first-day anxiety prevails. The shyness, sitting quietly and just observing faces, ice-breaking with your first bench mate, and the overly boosting first-day enthusiasm to emerge the brightest among all. The classroom setup was different from what I expected it to be. Taking admission in Delhi, I expected the coaching to be thronged with Delhites but apparently, it was the UP and Biha

Right to Privacy in India

Privacy is a fundamental right in India. In the Puthaswamy vs Union of India, the nine-judge constitutional bench unanimously declared the right to privacy as a fundamental right under the Constitution of India. In spite of this judgment, individual privacy and data security of citizens have not yet received their due importance. In today's world of Internet with India lacking a data protection law, individual data is just at the mercy of multi-billion companies like Facebook, Twitter and so on which collect individual data on their platform. Hackers can even enter into our smartphones and steal our sensitive data, read our so-called encrypted chats, look into our banking details and passwords and even tap phone calls. Government surveillance and security cameras that are installed on streets and workspaces, which are important in many ways, give us the feeling of constantly being watched.  Nevertheless, we will all agree that privacy is of paramount importance to all individuals
