Craze for Shark Tank Season 2 no less!

The Shark Tank India season 2 is out and the viewers are really crazy about it. Social media is swarmed with memes and clips from the show with people loving the amazing business ideas and pitches, the expertise of the sharks, and the fun fight among the sharks to invest in an idea. The keen audience never fails to notice any facet of the show ranging from the eloquent dressing sense of the shark Namita Thapar or the crazy dialogue and style of the shark Aman Gupta or the classic way in which the shark Anupam Mittal talks. The audience loves the philanthropic side of the shark, Peyush Bansal, and the quickness with which the shark Vineeta Singh take decisions. Although, the absence of the shark Ashneer Grover is a major missing from season 2 which was quite anticipated after his controversial resignation from his own company. The audience loved him in season 1 for his straight talks with the pitchers and understanding of making large businesses. Ashneer's way of talking about business, which he would popularly call Dhandha, and unabashedly bursting out at entrepreneurs for their so-called "doglapanti" made him very popular among the young folk. Paradoxically, Ashneer's losing cool during the show made him cool to many viewers.

Shark Tank India is an adoption of the US Shark Tank show, where businesses make pitches to investors for investment and other strategical support in their business in return for some stake in their company. Shark Tank India works exactly on the same concept with some Indian spices added to make the show more interesting to the audience. The investors or the sharks who possess the expertise and experience in building large businesses have invested in a number of start-ups that have pitched their ideas to them. The sharks help small businesses in becoming big brands by providing monetary support and essential tips that would help them grow their business faster. The sharks help start-ups in building a network base, providing technical support, marketing strategies, better packaging of products, and all those key factors required to build a strong brand. The experience of the sharks helps businesses avoid mistakes on their entrepreneurial journey. The show has familiarised India with financial terms like gross and net revenue, gross and net margin, revenue and profit, EBITA, and so on. With the growing start-up culture in India, a show like this is of great support and encouragement to start-ups.

The show represents the true spirit of growing Indian start-up culture with people from all walks of life coming on the show to give wings to their business ambitions. The show has proved that a person's background, age, and educational qualification hardly matter when you have the spirit to do something big in life. We have seen mothers coming on the show with their entrepreneurship ambition and talking confidently about their businesses, and people from small towns have overwhelmed the sharks with amazing business ideas and inspiring journeys. A shark tank fan can never forget the story of Jugaru Kamlesh, a farmer's son, who defeated all odds and used his innovative mind to build a machine that could solve the problems of farmers across India. It is not easy for a poor man to use all his savings to invest in an idea solely for the purpose of innovation and hunger to solve real-life problems. The show has definitely broken a number of stereotypes that hold back a person from starting his own business. It has become a source of inspiration for all others who aspire to be an entrepreneur.

Season 2 of Shark Tank was much awaited and the last two weeks of its airing was a success with a heartwarming response from the viewers. In this season we see comedian Rahul Dua hosting the show in place of Rannvijay Singha. The viewers will also meet a new shark, Amit Jain who is the CEO and co-founder of 'CarDekho'. Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh is also not a part of season 2. Some viewers are of the view that the second season of shark tank is being a bit dramatized for the want of more viewership or television ratings. This is seen in the way the sharks fight with each other to grab better deals and the editing and sound effect that is used to highlight these. These fights, however fun to watch, should not become the main highlight of the show. Whatsoever, the audience is really excited to watch amazing pitches that are to be aired in the forthcoming weeks. Sony has done a commendable job of introducing a new concept to Indian viewers. The show will certainly act as a catalyst in the start-up wave in India and help build an entrepreneurial mindset in the country.

The bystander world on the Taliban insurgency

It is not only Afghanistan’s government that has surrendered to the insurgency of the Taliban but also the world and humanity have succumbed to the influence of these terrorists. What could be worse than the world being a quiet spectator of the devastation taking place in an entire nation in the twenty-first century? What are the Human Rights organizations doing when it’s time for them to show their presence? The lives of more than 38 million Afghani men and women are in dismay. Their trepidation is evident in the grisly pictures and videos from the Kabul Airport where people could be seen falling to death after they clung to the underbelly of a plane in a desperate attempt to leave their country.  The countries in the world are busy closing their embassies and safely evacuating people from Afghanistan. Some countries accepting Afghanis, as refugees in their county, is a welcome step. However, it is not about a few lakhs of refugees who could take shelter in different parts of the wor

The Gen Z bag

Studying in an extravagant coaching center in Connaught Place, Delhi may not have been very beneficial in giving desired output in my competitive examination but it proved to be an overall different and fun experience. I am someone who likes to observe things and traveling from a low-budget Pg in Laxmi Nagar to the posh business and tourist area every day gave me the chance to observe. Observation is not a one-day thing, but you do it over a period of time and it is when you notice stark differences in the character and habits of people from different backgrounds.  It was our first day of coaching and the first-day anxiety prevails. The shyness, sitting quietly and just observing faces, ice-breaking with your first bench mate, and the overly boosting first-day enthusiasm to emerge the brightest among all. The classroom setup was different from what I expected it to be. Taking admission in Delhi, I expected the coaching to be thronged with Delhites but apparently, it was the UP and Biha

Death of Democracy legally NO, democratically YES!

There are times when we do something and regret it immediately. There are also times when we regret we did something long back. Some of our steps backfire on us and some of our actions literally mock us. Today is such a day for Mr. Rahul Gandhi. A reluctant politician who was given the job of carrying forward the legacy of his family, of leading the Congress party and the nation. The man who has immense courage to take up all the trolling and criticism. Pappu as people popularly call him. Yet again, stand in the parliament and give a speech, just to be criticized and trolled right after it ends. The man is no longer a  parliamentarian. Rahul Gandhi's conviction which followed his disqualification came as a big shock for most of us. For sure, it is the most exciting news for any common Indian news viewer. The mere thought that one of the biggest politicians, the so-called PM face of the Congress party was convicted in a petty defamation case by a district court is startling. Well, n
